While making bhel puri recipe, we are using three different kind of chutneys (spicy green chutney, khatti meethi tamarind date chutney and hot garlic chutney). Since these chutneys are wet in nature, this bhel is also called 'Geela bhel' where geela is the Hindi term for wet. Here I have added raw mango which gives nice tangy taste to the bhel. Bhel is often identified with the beaches of Mumbai, such as Girguam or Juhu.

Steps to make Mumbai Bhel:
  1. In a bowl take chopped onion, chopped potato, chopped tomato, chopped green chilli,all chutneys, salt and mix well.
  2. Dry roast murmura for 5-7 mins on low flame.This will make it crispy.Add murmura and some crushed puris to the above mixture and mix well.
  3. Add roasted peanuts, chopped coriander and mix well.
  4. Garnish with lemon juice, sev and puri. U can adjust the quantity of chutney as per ur taste.
  5. Tomato chutney is made using tomatoes, garlic, kashmiri chilli, spicy chilli, salt and sugar. Tamarind chutney : is made using tamarind, jaggery, red chilli powder, jeera powder,and salt. Green chutney: is made using mint, coriander, green chillies, onion, tamarind pulp, salt, jeera powder and jalajeera powder.
