- Prepare For Sweet Chutney-
- Get 6-7 dates (seedless)
- Get 1 tomato
- Get 6-7 Rasins
- Prepare as required Jaggery
- Prepare 4-5 Garlic cloves
- Get 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Prepare 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- Take 1/2 tsp salt
- Make ready 1/2 tsp black salt
Bhel is made from puffed rice and sev along with potatoes, onions, chat masala and chutneys. You can add other fried snacks like aloo bhujiya, bhujiya sev, ratlami sev, chivda etc. Bhel has a balance of sweet, salty, and spicy flavours. I must mention here that chutneys are the HERO ingredients in any chat recipe and bhel is no exception.
Instructions to make Sweet Bhel:
- Take a kadai Add 1/2 tsp oil. Then add hing and turmeric powder then add puffed rice. Saute till puffed rice will be crunchy. After that switch off the flame and keep aside.
- Now we will make sweet Chutney. For that take, cooker add tomato, dates, raisins, garlic and 1 cup water. Take 5-6 whistles and switch off the flame. The other side crushed jaggery and melt in hot water.
- Now take Mixer jar add all boiled ingredients and make a paste. Take a kadhai add 1 tsp oil some jeera and red chilli powder add chutney paste and mix it well. After that add jaggery water and add leftover water. Give it boil till it will get thick.
- After that switch off the flame and keep aside.
- Now take a bowl add fried puffed rice, onion chopped, tomatoes chopped, salt, coriander leaves and sweet chutney. (if u need u can add red chilli powder and chat masala). mix it will.
- Take out in serving bowl add sev on top of it. You can serve with papdi also.
- Enjoy Sweet bhel chaat.
