Steps to make Chatpati bhel:
- Take a deep pan heat oil add finely chopped garlic and curry leaves, add 2 teaspoon turmeric powder and red chilli powder immediately add the flattened rice and mix well. Sprinkle salt to taste and red chilli powder. Mix thoroughly. Turn off the flame and keep aside to cool down.
- Now boil the imli, jaggery and dates in a small pan with 1 and half glass of water. Untill cooked for minimum 10 minutes. Add jira powder, salt an little red chilli powder. Then let it cool down
- Than add sev, spicy / namkeen boondi, flattened moong, roasted / shallow fried peanuts.
- Now chop / dice tomatoes, onions, boiled potatoes and cucumber also can be used and add to the this mix. Finely chopped coriander leaves.
- Add dry roasted nuts, raisins and drained imli jaggery chutney, mix well and serve immediately.
